Two Swedes medal at State Track Championships

Due to the weather, the bleachers weren’t quite as packed as they normally would be at the beginning of championship Saturday at the state track meet. However, as the day went on the crowd migrated to Burke Stadium in Omaha to witness the best athletes in the state go head to head striving to win the gold.

The Swedes took three athletes to Omaha and did what they have done all season, and that was give it their all. At the end of the day two Gothenburg sophomores earned medals in the pole vault—Tyce Hruza took the silver with a height of 14-0, and Wyatt Hotz finished in a tie for 8th place.
