Eastside Animal Center begins expansion project
Vet clinic moves to former Gothenburg Animal Hospital.
Owners and employees of Eastside Animal Center are hoping a temporary move to the west side of town will hurry along a 2,000-square foot addition and renovation project.
Monday, when the building project started, the staff was finishing a move into the former Gothenburg Animal Hospital at 1320 Second Ave.
“Because we can relocate, we’re hoping it will take less time,” said Eastside office manager John Burks.
In February, Eastside veterinarians Randy Burge and Ryan O’Hare bought the business and building from veterinarian Roger Dudley who became a state epidemiologist.
Eastside hired three Gothenburg Animal Hospital employees.
Those additions, plus increased business from former animal hospital clients, means growing pains for Eastside.
