Rural home burglarized

A rural Gothenburg home was burglarized earlier this month and several items of jewelry were taken.

Two pearl necklaces, a carved ivory necklace with matching earrings, a Gothenburg class ring, a Florida class ring and an Air Force ring were reported stolen on June 10, according to Lt. Roland Kramer of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office.

The total value is estimated at $2,725.

Ten gallons of red barn paint were also taken from the property.

Kramer said the homeowner was not at home when the suspect or suspects entered the property on South Peckham Road.

Anyone with information about the burglary should contact the sheriff’s office at (308) 532-2468.
