Pedal pullers go head to head
Top finishers eligible to compete at fair.
The sanctioned pedal pull attracted 58 youngsters in the 4-12 age division and a couple of adults.
Pedal pulling had been part of a cornhusking contest Gothenburg hosted previously and the event continues at Harvest Festival.
This year, the location changed from Lake Avenue, next to Ehmen Park, to the Pamida parking lot.
The top three finishers in each age group earned a trip to the 2012 Nebraska State Fair.

Age 5—Girls: 1. Madison Sayer.
Age 5—Boys: 1. Cole Atkinson, 2. Max Wyatt, 3. Corbin Coe.
Age 6—Girls: 1. Makenna Coeahl, 2. Addison Wyatt, 3. Lilli Tracci.
Age 6—Boys: 1. Brandon Shriner, 2. Kai Jorgenson, 3. Juan Ellinson.
Age 7—Girls: 1. Ashlyn Johnson, 2. Nola Young, 3. Maryn Johnson.
Age 7—Boys: 1. Khayden McNally, 2.Cooper Franzen.
Age 8—Girls: 1. Kayla Peterson, 2. Creighton Tiede, 3. Sierra Pearson.
Age 8—Boys: 1. Riley Baker, 2. Keifer Anderson, 3. Ty Bartels.
Age 9—Girls: 1. Ashton Cheetsos, 2. Madeline Jorgenson.
Age 10—Girls: 1. Kaitlyn Kleinknecht, 2. Madalyn Coeahl, 3. Savannah Peterson.
