Area residents got their first look and listen at the new improvements at the Sun Theatre. Most notable was the digital project that provided a clear and vibrant image, the surround sound speakers as well as curtains on the walls to enhance the listening experience.

The Gothenburg Community Playhouse, owner of the theatre, provided a free barbecue and tours in the afternoon before the theatre was filled for a free showing of Dr.Seuss’ The Lorax (top photo). Nearly 200 people viewed the movie John Carter Saturday evening.
