‘After Glow’ to greet prom goers Saturday

Theme will be reflected in gym

The Gothenburg High School junior-senior prom is Saturday in the Dudley Elementary gymnasium.

Members of the junior class are decorating the gym Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 6-9 p.m. each night.

“After Glow” is the theme.

Festivities begin with punch parties at the following homes.

Juniors will gather at the home of Mike and Kelli Teahon, at 26 Wild Horse Road.

Seniors will meet at the home of Brian and Christy Aden, 41121 Road 769.

Parties are from 5-6 p.m. with group pictures for seniors at 5:15 p.m. and at 5:45 p.m. for juniors.

Sophomore servers will meet at the Dudley gym at 4:30 p.m. where they will perform a dance for parents and the public at 4:45 p.m.

Members of the community can view decorations in the school gymnasium from 2:30-4:30 p.m.

They can watch prom goers arrive at the school, beginning at 6:15 p.m.

The banquet, catered by “The Main Course,” starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a program, including a senior video and a dance by the sophomore servers.

Professional photographs of prom goers begin at 8:30 p.m., followed by the dance from 9 p.m.-midnight.

Doors to the dance close at 10 p.m.

Before students enter the dance, they will be tested for alcohol consumption by a Breathalyzer machine.

Anyone who has been drinking alcohol will not be allowed into the event.

A post-prom party is planned at the school, from 12:30-4 a.m.

Juniors are asked to return to the school from 3-5 p.m. Sunday to clean up.

Pizza and pop will be served at 4:30 p.m. The head count for pizza will be taken at 3:30 p.m.
