Road race draws 21 participants
Twenty-one participants took advantage of cooler temperatures Sunday morning for the Brady Days road run, an event that has not been conducted since 1985.
Quinton Phillips, 16, of North Platte was the overall winner in the 5K race with a time of 19:54.8.
Overall winner of the 10K was Wayne Wallace, 53, of North Platte with a time of 41:48.4.
There were two participants in the one-mile fun walk. Both Stephanie Groseth of North Platte and Veronica Porter of Brady earned gold medals for their age divisions. No times were kept.
The youngest participant was 8-year-old Shane Schneider, who ran the 5K race and finished 12th overall.
Porter was the oldest participant at 61.
