Salute to veterans

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Kindergarten students perform the Pledge of Allegiance in sign language during the annual Veterans Day program at the school last week.

LOCAL HERO: Brady resident and military veteran Cliff Reed gave school students advice for living life with no regrets, including loving deeply and giving freely. Reed served as guest speaker during the school’s Veterans Day program.

NO QUICK FIX: Nebraska Congressman Adrian Smith calls his age group the microwave generation because they want immediate results. Things worth fighting for take time, Smith said during a veterans celebration at The Feed Bunk.
