Jarred McMichael of Gothenburg finished second at the West Central Regional Special Olympics swim meet at the Hastings YMCA on March 9, qualifying him for the Special Olympics State Games in Omaha in May.

McMichael’s time in the 25-meter race was 22.39 seconds.

McMichael’s parents are Sherri and Gregg McMichael of Gothenburg.
