Jennifer Wolf to lead economic developers
Jennifer Wolf, executive director of Dawson Area Development was elected president of the Nebraska Economic Developers Association (NEDA) at the 40th Anniversary Conference of the organization in Omaha, NE.
NEDA, with 350 members, is the largest association of economic development professionals in Nebraska. It is dedicated to strengthening economic development in the state through education and professional development of its members.
Wolf has been on the board of directors for two terms and executive board for three years. She will serve one year as president and then remain on the board as past president.
In 2013, Wolf was named as NEDA’s Professional of the Year. Her work with Cozad, Gothenburg, Lexington, and Dawson County as well as the surrounding villages led to four of the area towns receiving Certified Economic Development Community status.
Wolf has shown leadership by the partnerships that are created with members of NEDA and other resource entities. She also serves on the Nebraska Enterprise Fund Board.
A focus of her term as president will be to give of her time to educate the members on legislation that affects economic development and assist in the programming of two conferences held each year.
“I am honored to serve as president for the next year,” Wolf said. “I admire the mission of the organization and the impact it has on economic development in the state of Nebraska.
“I look forward to continuing the work of the past leaders.”
Wolf has her earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and economic development.
She currently resides in Gothenburg with her children Taylor, Hanna and Zach.
