Board adds wrestling, cross country to BHS activities

Brady High School students will have a couple more options for extracurricular activities next year after school board members voted unanimously last week to add wrestling and cross country to Eagle sports.

With the board’s approval, both sports will become sanctioned by the Nebraska School Activities Association and schedules can be set for the 2016-17 school year.

“We’ve gone long enough without offering students alternatives,” BHS activities director Andy Seamann told the board during a special meeting on Jan. 20, adding that not all students are interested in or excel in the athletics currently offered. “It’s time.”
