Barbara Wolfe, 51 - October 13, 2014

Barbara Jean “Barbie” Wolfe, 51, of rural Cozad, Midway Lake, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at her home surrounded by family members.
Services will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Gothenburg with the Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Burial will be at the Gothenburg Cemetery.
A visitation will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Wolfe was born June 16, 1963, at Gothenburg to Ronald Dean and Evelyn (Bennett) Harvey.
She attended and graduated from Gothenburg High School with the Class of 1981.
On May 23, 1981, she was married to Tom Wolfe at the Gothenburg Evangelical Free Church. To this union, two children were born.
During her working years she was employed at Margie’s Day Care. She and her family moved to North Loup for two years where she worked at the Popcorn Factory, then moved to Cozad where she was employed at Coop Fertilizer as a secretary for eight years.
Wolfe then managed the Cozad Medical Clinic and worked at the Wellness Center where she taught the Silver Sneaker’s Exercise Group and made lifelong friends, according to family members. She also worked cleaning houses.
She was attending nursing school when her health took a turn for the worst and she had to end her education.
Wolfe loved snow skiing, four-wheeling, cruising around on her Moped and riding motorcycles as well as hunting with her dad, the family said. She was a Motocross mom and loved following her kids to their competitions.
?She also loved shopping, traveling to the Junk Jaunts and garage sales, according to family. Her special talent was helping people and being with her family and her grandchildren.
Wolfe was preceded in death by: her parents, Ronald and Evelyn; aunts—Beverly Earl and Rosie Rhinehart; a great-aunt, Katherine Bennett.
Survivors include: her husband, Tom of Midway Lake; her son, Derek (Brooke) Wolfe of Cozad; her daughter, Amber (Bill) Montoya of Cozad; sister by love, Vicky (Rick) Foote of Omaha; four grandchildren—Zeth, Arianna, Roklyn and Kori; three uncles—George (Peggy) Harvey of Columbus, Don (Deb) Harvey and Jim Harvey, all of Gothenburg; two aunts—Dorothy Andrews of Gothenburg and Sharon (Fred) Engberg of Joplin, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law—Millie (Rob) Speck of Omaha, George (Annette) Wolfe of Seward, Susan Anderson and Greg (Deanna) Wolfe, all of Eddyville; nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
