Glenn Kuhlman, 76 - October 26, 2014

Glenn Kuhlman, 76, of Hillrose, CO, originally of Gothenburg, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Brush, CO.
Services took place at the Gothenburg American Lutheran Church on Saturday, Nov. 1, with the Rev. Jon Mapa officiating. Burial was at the American Lutheran Christ Cemetery at Gothenburg.
Kuhlman was born May 17, 1938, at Gothenburg to John “Jack” and Lillian (Block) Kuhlman.
He grew up on a farm and attended country school, later attending school in Gothenburg and graduating from Gothenburg High School with the Class of 1956.
Kuhlman served with the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961, serving at the Castle Air Force Base and the Beal Air Force Base in California.
He married Gail Fenton at the American Lutheran Church of Gothenburg. To this union, two sons were born.
Kuhlman was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses through the years including some motels, restaurants and a carpet store.
He was an avid flyer and owned several planes, restoring one of the Japanese Zero planes from the movie Tora,Tora,Tora.
Kuhlman was a member of the Commemorative Air Force and the Brush Moose Lodge.
?He enjoyed traveling, loved the ocean and beach, the moun­tains and deep sea fishing, according to family members. He was a good story teller and was a big Denver Broncos fan as well. He always felt fortunate for the successes in business and the travels he had for being a farm boy from Nebraska.
Kuhlman was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Lillian; a brother, Dale.
Survivors include: his two sons—Kevin (Lisa) Kuhlman of Ridgefield, WA, and Kip Kuhlman; a brother, Vern (Sherry) Kuhlman of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters—LoyAnn (Bob) Rossel of Lincoln and Connie (Dave) Davidson of McCook; two grandchildren—Corey John and Breanna Lea; numerous nieces and nephews.
