Ernest S. Rodriguez, Sr., 71 - November 30, 2014

Ernest S. Rodriguez, Sr., 71, of Moore, OK, formerly of Gothenburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at his home in Moore following a two-year battle with cancer.
Rodriguez was born to Saturnino and Adelina Rodriguez on May 29, 1943, at Kenedy, TX, one of 15 children.
He was united in marriage to Mary Carrisalez on July 7, 1962, at Snyder, TX. To this union, four children were born.
Rodriguez and his wife moved to Gothenburg in 1972 to begin a new and better life, according to family members.
He began employment at Peterson’s Locker in October of 1972, and a few years later, he started training to become a meat inspector.
After his employment at Peterson’s Locker, he worked at F&S Meat Locker in Cozad and then Darr Packing Plant. He then moved to Deerfield, KS, and worked at several packing plants around the area, residing at Deerfield for seven years.
In 1998, he moved to Moore for employment, which is where he remained living.
Rodriguez loved his job and worked hard at it, family members said. He was a United States meat inspector for 32 years, and the job took him to different places and different towns.
In 1988, he and his wife divorced, and later in life he re-married.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends, the family said. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Rodriguez was preceded in death by: his parents, Saturnino and Adelina Rodriguez; a brother, Ray Rodriguez, two infant brothers; a grandson, Daniel Rodriguez.
?Survivors include: his two sons—Ernest (Jenny) Rodriguez, Jr. of Gothenburg and Dan (Geraldine) Rodriguez of Wilber; his two daughters—Cindy (Mike) Reinhard and MaryAnn Rodriguez, all of Gothenburg; an adopted son, Brian Rodriguez of Moore; 10 grandchildren—Kristina Martinez of Fort Benning, GA, Stephanie Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, CO, Jonathon Reinhard of Moore, Anthony Reinhard of Lincoln, Justina Rodriguez of North Platte, Jeffrey Rodriguez of Kearney, Ernest Rodriguez, III of St. Louis, MO, Joshua Reinhard and Adam Reinhard, both of Gothenburg, and Alexz Rodriguez of Smithfield; seven great-grandchildren—Carlos, Xazier and Aria Martinez of Fort Benning, Cyrus Rodriguez of North Platte, Kade and Cole Reinhard of Waco and Sophia Rodriguez of Brady; three brothers—Chico (JoAnne) Rodriguez of Fort Worth, TX, Raymond Rodriguez of Liberal, KS, and Roy Rodriguez of Kenedy, TX; eight sisters—Yolanda Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Maria (Rueben) Torres, Francesca (Angel) Prieto, Josephine (Demetrio) SoSa and Adelina Kern, all of Kenedy, Consuleo Aguero of Karnes City, TX, Genoneva Rodriguez Diaz of Three Rivers, TX, and Betty Rodriguez of Victory, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
