Evelyn Aden, 92 - January 19, 2015

Evelyn Aden, 92, of Gothenburg passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Gothenburg.
Services will be conducted at the American Lutheran Church on Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the American Lutheran “Christ” Cemetery at Gothenburg.
A visitation will take place at the American Lutheran Church, 1512 Ave. G, Gothenburg, on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 1 to 7 p.m. with family members present from 4 to 6 p.m.
Aden was born Feb. 17, 1922, at Gothenburg, daughter of Martin G. and Hulda (Ludwig) Block. She grew up at Gothenburg where she attended school.
She was united in marriage to Alfred Gerd Aden on Sept. 1, 1937, at Warrensburg, MO. To this union, three children were born.
Aden spent her lifetime as a busy farm wife, helping her husband with farming, gardening and raising their family.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and quilting as well as sports and bowling, according to family members.
?Aden was preceded in death by: her husband, Alfred Gerd Aden; a brother, Milan (Bernice) Block; grandson, Alan Harms; her parents.
?Survivors include: her daughter, Betty (Marvin) Harms of Culbertson; sons—Larry Aden and Tim (Cordi) Aden, both of Gothenburg; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members.
