Brocklin (Brock) Wehnes, 22 - March 07, 2015

Brocklin “Brock” Scott Wehnes, 22, of Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 7, 2015. His fight with a rare and challenging disease showed his strong will to live, the family said, as he attempted to defeat this illness.
A remembrance of life service will be celebrated at Loveland Ski area on Saturday, March 21, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Rock House, top of Lift 1. The “Brock House” celebration will honor the young life of Wehnes.
Wehnes was born Oct. 4, 1992, at Vail, CO, to Terry and Marisa Wehnes.
Skiing was his passion, and as a lifelong skier at Loveland Ski area, he began his ski years riding on his father’s back around the mountain at Loveland. Soon after that, he was carving up the race gates as a Loveland racer traveling to ski areas all over Colorado.
At age 18, Wehnes went to work full time in the fire mitigation and construction industry. His love for his partner, Keilani, was overwhelming and his love for his mother, Marisa, to be the “man of the house” reflected his Argentinian blood, according to family members. The Latin passion was evident in all that he did.
?His loyalty to his friends, who all gave it back, is something the family is grateful for, and his father is grateful of the time he had at his side, both in and out of the hospital, throughout his illness battle, the family said.
Survivors include: his mother, Marisa Wehnes of Silver Plume, CO; his father and partner, Terry Wehnes (Dana Kujawa) of Evergreen, CO; his partner, Keilani Hamm of Silver Plume; grandmother, Kay Linsday of Jeffrey Lake; an uncle, Robert Wehnes of Gothenburg; an aunt, Edie Patton of Torrance, CA.
Memorials are suggested to the family for medical expenses and may be sent to: https://www.crowdrise.com/terryandbrock/fundraiser/jodiwalzer.
