Judy Silvers, 69 - April 13, 2015

Judy D. Silvers, 69, of Kearney, originally of Gothenburg, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital.
Services were conducted on Friday, April 17, at the Countryside Christian Church with Cody Peterson officiating. Burial was at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
Silvers was born Jan. 28, 1946, at Gothenburg to Melvin and Lucille (Lindstadt) Lambertus.
She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1964, then attended Kearney State College.
On Aug. 24, 1966, she was united in marriage to Terry Silvers at Gothenburg.
Silvers and her husband resided in Kearney where she was employed at West Company for over 35 years, retiring in 2005.
She was a member of the Countryside Christian Church.
Silvers enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s activities, reading and dining out, family members said.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Melvin and Lucille; two sisters-in-law—Darleen and Pat Lambertus.
Survivors include: her husband, Terry Silvers of Kearney; a son, Tom (Tina) Silvers of Funk; her daughter, Tammy (Justen) Shields of Funk; grandchildren—Dillon Halligan of Kearney, Tyler Shields, Brett Shields, Brittany Shields and Orion Silvers, all of Funk; brothers—Bob Lambertus of Kearney, Kenneth (Donnie) Lambertus and Sandy (Allen) Pflaster, all of Littleton, CO.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
