Ethel Moore, 90 - February 11, 2009
Ethel Althea Moore, 90, of Blue Hill, formerly of Gothenburg and Ayr, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at the home where she lived with her daughter.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, from 7-9 p.m. at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to services at the church.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the North Shore Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Blue Valley Cemetery at Ayr.
Moore was born Feb. 21, 1918, at Milton, NY, to Henry VanVallen and Edith L. (Marcham) Mackey.
After graduating from high school, she attended college at Central Bible Institute at Springfield, MO, from 1936-1937, where she met Clifton A. Moore.
On Jan. 1, 1938, she was united in marriage to Moore at Newburg, NY. The couple resided on a farm south of Maxwell until 1949, and then moved to a farm north of Gothenburg, before moving to Ayr in 1991. Her husband preceded her in death in 1994.
?Moore was a homemaker and a member of North Shore Assembly of God.
?She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifton; her parents, Henry and Edith; a daughter, Betty Stahl in 1980; a grandson, Leo Brauer in 1980; brother, Van Mackey; sister, Iola Smith.
?Survivors include: her sons—Allan Moore of Trenton, NJ, Arthur Moore of Upland, CA, and William H. Moore of Pahrump, NV; her daughters—Elaine Brauer of Nelson and Renee Fielder of Blue Hill; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
