Sandra Cooper, 60 - December 02, 2015


Sandra K. Cooper, 60, of Cozad passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Deines officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery.
Cooper was born April 16, 1955, at Kremmling, CO, to John and Barbara (Gray) Pacheco. She attended school at Granby, CO.
On Oct. 19, 1974, she married Ron Cooper. To this union, three children were born.
She was employed as a mail carrier for over 18 years.
Cooper was a very creative person, writing poems and putting thoughts and feelings on paper as well as being an excellent cook and skilled at crocheting, according to family members. She enjoyed listening to music and gambling, especially the penny slots.
She also liked to watch true crime shows, Days of Our Lives and Doc McStuffins, even when the grandkids weren’t around, said the family. Fishing with her family was one her favorite past times, and she would yell “Fish on” when someone caught a fish.
Cooper cherished time spent with her family, and her grandchildren meant everything to her, the family stated.
?She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Barbara; a sister, Twila Lee; brother-in-law, Bill Lee; sisters-in-law—Linda Pacheco and Sue Hardy.
?Survivors include: her husband, Ron of Cozad; her daughter, Charity (Tom) Dunphy of Gothenburg; sons—Clay (Stacey) Cooper and Brandon (Jenni) Cooper, all of Cozad; grandchildren—Avery, Bethany and Brogan Dunphy, Ashland and Dylan Cooper, Riley and Jenn Gainsforth, Garrett and Trinity Cooper; brothers—John “Sonny” (Ellen) Pacheco, Jr. of Granby, Manuel (Kathy) Pacheco of Wallace, Erold “Dean” Pacheco of Grand Junction, CO, and Steven (Dori) Pacheco of Delta, CO; sisters—Johanna “Joan” Staton of Troy, OH, Monita Pacheco (Betty Mingee) of Denver, CO, and Delilah “Corine” (Art) Becker of Cozad; numerous extended family members.
A memorial has been established.
