Lois Carol Aden, 79 - February 07, 2016

Lois “Carol” Aden, 79, of Gothenburg passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg.
Memorial services were at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Cottingham officiating.
Aden was born Dec. 15, 1936, north of Gothenburg, the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Lindholm) Anderson.
She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1956, and married Keith Aden on Oct. 27, 1957, at the American Lutheran Church.
Aden was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone office, Jensen’s Jack and Jill, Kampfe & Tollefson’s Clothing Store, Farmland Service Coop and State Farm Insurance.
She was also co-owner of the Kid’s Closet and Quality Clean, and worked at American Charter Savings and Loan, first as a teller and later as a loan officer.
Aden served as a co-leader for three 4-H clubs, one for each of her daughters. She was also a Stephen Minister for 11 years and was active in numerous church committees, Bible studies, choir and children’s ministry. She helped to deliver Meals-On-Wheels and loved visiting with those who were home bound, according to family members.
?She kept busy with all her grandchildren and their activities and enjoyed sewing, baking, shopping, decorating, going to the movies, hosting Christmas coffees and spending time with her friends, stated the family.
?Aden was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Myrtle; a brother, Bill Anderson; sisters—Gerry Woodward and Jean Mann.
Survivors include: her husband, Keith Aden of Gothenburg; her daughters—LuAnn (Todd) Houchin of Gothenburg, Linda Aden (Tobe Stauss) and Kellie Aden (Pete) Amisano, all of Lincoln; grandchildren— Wade (Kearah) Houchin, and their children—Reid, Ta’Lyn, Traeson and Titus Houchin; Blake Houchin, Erica Houchin, and Jacob and Emily Amisano; sister, DeAnn Meysing.
