Danny Johnston, 63 - April 22, 2016

Danny Jo Johnston, 63, of Boise, ID, formerly of North Platte, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home in Boise.
Services were conducted on Monday, May 2, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Viter officiating. Burial took place at the Miriam Cemetery near North Platte.
Johnston was born Sept. 3, 1952, at North Platte to Elma Jean Johnston and Bill Dishman. He attended public schools at Gothenburg and North Platte.
He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Johnston was united to Sandy, and to this union, three sons were born.
He was employed with the railroad and at a cement factory in Idaho. He suffered a stroke at the early age of 35 which left him unable to work.
His faith and his Lord were very important to him, according to family members. He loved to ride his motorcycle, play chess, spend time with family and friends and volunteer with ill patients.
?Johnston was preceded in death by: his step-father, Bill; a son, Mitchell; brother, Billy Jo; grandparents, including a special grandfather, Alvin Johnston: numerous other relatives.
?Survivors include: his mother, Elma; his sons—Christopher (Crystal) Johnston and Mark Johnston; three grandchildren; a brother, Randy (Linda) Dean; sisters—Jenny (Tony) Beer, Vivian (Lee) Kolb, Conice (Alex) Romero, Jessie (Steve) Seifer, Carolee (Aaron) Martin, Aprilee (Lonnie) Deaver and Rosemary; numerous other family members.
A memorial has been established.
