Randall Koester, 70 - November 12, 2016

Randall Eugene “Randy” Koester, 70, of Marshfield, MO, originally of Gothenburg, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Services took place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Day Funeral Home at Marshfield. Burial was at the Marshfield Cemetery.
Koester was born the son of Arthur and Evelyn G. (Booth) Koester on Sept. 28, 1946, at Gothenburg.
On April 10, 1983, he was united in marriage to Judy Ruter, and together the couple shared 33 years.
He was a retired business manager who had enjoyed working, according to family members. Those who worked with him appreciated the dedication he had and admired his work ethic.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, remodeling old houses and blading his road, however, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with his family, they said.
Koester made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the CrossBridge Church of Marshfield. He appreciated his church family and the fellowship he had with each one, family stated.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Evelyn.
Survivors include: his wife, Judy of Marshfield; his daughter, Christi Koester of Lincoln; two sons—Todd (Jamie) Koester of Kearney, and Chad Koester of Marshfield; five grandchildren—Madison, Max, Alex, Ashley and Dakota; a sister, Mary Koester; numerous other relatives.
Memorial are suggested to the CrossBridge Church and left in care of the funeral home.
