Vivian DeBoer, 90 - January 16, 2017

Vivian DeBoer, 90, of Cozad passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at her home in Cozad.
Services took place at the American Lutheran Church of Cozad on Monday, Jan. 23. Interment was conducted at the Elwood Cemetery.
DeBoer was born May 17, 1926, at Orafino, daughter of Ted and Velma (Thomas) Brown.
After her high school graduation, she attended Normal Training and was a school teacher and art teacher for numerous years.
She married Bryce DeBoer on Jan. 15, 1944, at Oberlin, KS. To this union, two children were born.
The couple resided north of Cozad, where she was a dedicated wife and mother.
DeBoer was involved with her community and the American Agriculture Movement in both Nebraska and Washington, D.C.
She was a member of the Happy Homemakers, China Painters, the Cozad Art Club and Gleaners as well as the Cozad Bible Church.
?DeBoer was preceded in death by: her husband, Bryce DeBoer in 2008; her parents, Ted and Velma; three brothers—Robert, Laverne and Keith Brown.
?Survivors include: her son, David (Carol) DeBoer; her daughter, Patti (Greg) Andries; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers—Jack and Tom Brown; two sisters—Shirley and Patty; numerous extended family members.
