Randy Münster, 61 - May 14, 2017

Randy Dean Munster, 61, of Kearney passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at CHI Good Samaritan in Kearney.
Services were conducted on Thursday, May 18, at the First United Methodist Church of Kearney with the Rev. Alan Davis officiating. A private family burial was at Highland Park Cemetery at Ravenna.
A visitation took place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with family members present.
Munster was born July 20, 1955, at Loup City to Harold and Lila (Criffield) Munster. He grew up in the Kearney area and received his education at the A.O. Thomas School in Kearney. During his early childhood, he was a part of the Special Olympics.
He was placed with Mid-Nebraska Individual Services in 1974 so he could continue his education.
Munster was employed on contracts through Mid-Nebraska Individual Services shop with Baldwin Filters until his passing.
During his free time, he enjoyed weekends and holidays with family and shared a close relationship with his father, according to family members.
?Munster was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kearney, and also a member of ARC.
?He was preceded in death by: his father, Harold Munster; a brother, Kevin Munster; his grandparents—Hank and Ada Munster, and Clarence and Mary Criffield.
Survivors include: his mother, Lila Munster of Kearney; brothers—Marty (Lucy) Munster and Rodney Munster, all of Cozad, Scott (Sharyl) Munster of Gothenburg and Shawn (Teresa) Munster of Kearney; sisters—Connie (Terry) Viter of Lincoln and Sharlene (Shane) Gonewold of Elm Creek; special friend, June of Kearney; his Mid-Nebraska Services family; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials are suggested to Mid-Nebraska Individual Services of Kearney.
