Beulah Maack, 92 - October 14, 2009
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad with Rev. Lyle Schoen officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery north of Cozad.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (today) at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
Maack was born March 3, 1917, on a farm north of Cozad to Frank and Carrie (Brownfield) Groenewold. She attended rural school at District 86.
On Oct. 28, 1935, she married Clarence Maack at Julesburg, CO. The couple made their home on a farm site north of Cozad where they lived their entire married life and raised their five children.
Maack was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cozad for 76 years. She was active in various church circles and served for many years on the funeral and wedding committees. She worked and served as co-chairperson of the Thrift Shop in downtown Cozad from 1972 until 2008.
She was preceded in death by: her three brothers, Albert, Floyd & Eddie; two sons-in-law, Jerry Sinor and Dale Seyler.
Survivors include: her husband, Clarence Maack of Cozad; three daughters—Donna Sinor of Niwot, CO, Kay Seyler and Norma Loybl both of Greeley, CO; two sons—Roger (Peggy) Maack of Cozad and Gary (Janice) Maack of Greeley, CO; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
