Joycelyn Lee Bridges, 77, of Gothenburg, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Gothenburg.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 31, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell with the Rev. Jim Reier officiating.
Bridges was born on Jan. 27, 1931, to Walter and Opal (Rutner) Doering at Maxwell.
She lived with her family at Maxwell and attended school there until she was 12 years old when they moved to California. She graduated from Oakland High School in California.
She married Robert Bridges in 1974 at Reno, NV, and worked at International Harvester in California as a key punch operator as well as in the payroll offices of Anheuser-Busch.
Bridges was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Opal; her husband, Robert; a daughter-in-law, Barb Nielsen; brother-in-law, Wiley Walker.
Survivors include: her two sons—Alan (Kim) Nielsen and Ryan Nielsen, all of Gothenburg; two daughters—Susan Meyers of St. Louis, MO, and Joyce Kahue of Napa, CA; three sisters—Darlene Walker of Sacramento, CA, Marilyn (George) Gale and Bobbie Province, both of Gothenburg; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; niece, Shelli Costa of Fair Oaks, CA; two nephews—Brad Walker of Salinas, CA, and Duran Freese of Farnam.
Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Hospice.
