Dolly Bihlmaier, 67 - March 19, 2008
Dolly Jo Bihlmaier, 67, of Gothenburg, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Hilltop Estates of Gothenburg.
Memorial services were held on Friday, March 14, at the American Lutheran Church at Gothenburg with the Rev. Matthew Groenke and Lonna Grabenstein, PMA, officiating. Burial took place at the American Lutheran Cemetery.
Bihlmaier was born on Nov. 28, 1940, at Cozad to Voyle and Irene (Buss) Troxel. She grew up in the Cozad and Lexington area and also at Rushville, SD. She moved to Gothenburg in 1967.
She was united in marriage to Larry L. Bihlmaier on May 14, 1967, at Lexington. To this union, two daughters were born.
She worked as a dishwasher for most of her life and took pride in staying home to raise her children, according to family members.
Bihlmaier enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren as well as watching old shows, said family members.
?She was preceded in death by: her parents, Voyle and Irene; two sisters—Lena Troxel and Gail Troxel; her step-father, Walter Scrabler; her mother and father-in-law, Henry and Ruth Bihlmaier; brother-in-law, Warren Bihlmaier; an uncle, Glen Buss; two aunts—Wilma and Edith Buss.
?Survivors include: her husband of 40 years, Larry; her daughters—Kim (Matt) Howel and Patty (Andy) Canas; five grandchildren—Tyler (Cassie), Heather, LaTasha, Sean and Austin; a sister, Shirley Lobdell; a host of extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and Central Plains Hospice.
