Wayne Fisher, II, 60 - October 10, 2007
Wayne Franklin Fisher II, 60, of McKinney, TX, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, TX, with the Rev. Dennis George officiating.
Another memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Faith Bible Church in Lincoln, with the Revs. Dean O’Bryan and Tom Rempel officiating.
Fisher was born on Aug. 29, 1947, in Lincoln, to Wayne Franklin Fisher, Sr. and Evelyn Alberta (Demaris) Fisher. He grew up in Nebraska, and at the age of 15, accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, the family said.
He received a bachelor’s degree in education, and a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska in computers and education. He was instrumental in connecting all Nebraska schools to the Internet, family members said.
On Sept. 1, 1968, he was united in marriage to Roberta Wasson at Kearney.
Fisher was also a private pilot and flight instructor.
He was a member of AOPA and EAA as well as a member of the Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church.
Fisher was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn.
Survivors include: his wife, Robbie Fisher of McKinney; a daughter, Charis (David) Young of McKinney; granddaughter, Hannah Young; his father, Wayne Franklin Fisher, Sr. of Palmyra, VA; sister, Diann Cone of San Antonio, TX; brother, Phil (Vicki) Fisher of Hastings.
