Brooks was the son of Stanley (Butch) and Mary Brooks, formerly of Gothenburg.
Survivors include: his parents; a sister, Jana; nephew, Anthony; aunts—Judi (Cal) Frey and Jane (Brooks) Sheets of Gothenburg.
