Janeth (Jann) Meyer, 61 - August 22, 2011
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the United Methodist Church at Bladen with Mona Fassler officiating. The remains were cremated, and a private family burial is to take place at a later date.
Meyer was born Jan. 22, 1950, to Walter and Lenora (Forbes) Meyer at Ainsworth.
She graduated from Rock County High School in 1968, from Lincoln Secretarial School in 1969, and from Curtis School of Technical Agriculture as a Certified Vet Tech in 2000.
Meyer moved to Blue Hill from Bladen in 2006. She was employed with CHS Agri Service Center in Roseland until her health forced her to take a leave of absence.
She was a member of Bladen United Methodist Church in which she was very active. She was also a part of many charitable and social organizations.
Meyer was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Lenora; step-daughter, Judy Griffiths; a nephew, Brandon Brader.
Survivors include: her daughter, Keely Rogers of Kearney; her son, Kasey (Jackie) Rogers of Mechanicsburg, PA; eight step-children—Kelly Rogers, Kathy Jo McManus Martin, Tracy Bell, Christine Griffiths, Shary Griesfeller, Tanae, Tova and Taryn Ehrman; a sister, Daveta (Dick) Brader of Glenvil; brother, Richard (Connie) Meyer of Aurora; four grandchildren—Tailer Rogers, Tre Martinez, Kyle Rogers and Lindsey Rogers; nine step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be donated to various cancer centers. Merten-Butler Mortuary of Blue Hill was in charge of arrangements.
