Kristina Allen, 19 - February 20, 2013Kristina Allen, 19, of Callaway passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Giltner.
Services will be conduced on Monday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Callaway with the Rev. Roger Gillming officiating.
Allen was born June 12, 1993, at North Platte to David Allen and Ann Marie Dauel. She attended grade school in Florida and middle school at Fort Walton Beach, FL, then moved to Callaway in 2007, where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 2012.
She was a beautiful young lady who was always active in school, loved sports and excelled in volleyball, basketball and track, family members said. She was a cheerleader and participated on the speech team, one-act plays and gymnastics. Her sparkling and giving personality led her to join her church youth group and help others by going on mission trips.
Allen absolutely loved being with her family and friends, according to family members. You never saw her without her iPod, a smile on her face or a hug for the people she cared for. Like all active teenage girls, she loved to shop for clothes, not only for herself but for gifts as well.
She had a strong work ethic, and at the time of her death, was attending Iowa Western Community College pursuing her dream of becoming a physical therapist. She was a wonderful daughter, sister and friend who will never be forgotten, said family.
Allen was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.
Survivors include: her mother and her mother’s fiancé, Ann Marie Stout and Lawrence Paulsen of Callaway; step-father, Greg Stout of Colorado Springs, CO; her biological father, David Allen of Missouri; brothers—Damien (Diamond) Allen of Dover, DE, G.W. “Cole” Stout and Landen Paulsen, both of Callaway; sisters—Mattisen Stout of Callaway, Megan (Brad) Reed and Olivia Paulsen, all of North Platte; grandparents—Don (Darlene) Allen of Overton, Gary Dauel of Gothenburg and Kent (Elaine) Cole of Alliance; a nephew, Dalton Allen of Dover; niece, Kinlee Reed of North Platte; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
