Dawson County office served 912 people in 2015

The offender was a friend of the family, charged with first-degree and third-degree sexual assault of two young girls.

“He was in a position of trust with the parents,” said Julie Gilg, who directs the Dawson County Victim Witness Unit.

The girls, Gilg said, were relatives and confided in each other about the assault before mustering the courage to tell a parent.
