Bag of blessings - helping cancer patients find hope

Just as one might say a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down it is the hope of two Gothenburg women that a bag full of blessings, so to say, makes chemotherapy treatment a little more bearable.

Just over a year ago, while watching her husband’s co-worker Mary Harbur engage in her own battle with breast cancer, Lyndee Miller felt a tug on her heart to do something.

“Both my husband Phil, who is employed part-time at Callahan Cancer Center in North Platte, and myself have hearts for encouraging people.” Miller said.

“We didn’t know where to begin or what we could even do. We just knew we had to do something”.
