Swedes suffer first loss in conference final

For the fourth year in a row, the Gothenburg boys basketball team reached the Southwest Conference tournament’s final game. Unfortunately the Swedes lost to the Broken Bow Indians to finish in second place.

The Swedes and Indians locked up for another slugfest in the championship round of the SWC Tournament. At the start of the game the Swedes weren’t the team that Gothenburg fans have grown accustomed to seeing on the court. The Indians were full of adrenaline as they jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the first quarter.
