Girls go down, but not without a fight

That old adage came back to haunt the Brady girls Thursday night.

The Eagles had successfully held off South Loup twice this season, once in overtime during the Maxwell Booster Tournament and once in head-to-head action at home mid-January.

But the third time—the one that counted the most for Brady coach Lance Arterburn and his team—wasn’t meant to be.

“We fouled too much and we didn’t execute well down the stretch,” Arterburn said. “At the same time, that’s the best I’ve seen South Loup play. They don’t shoot the ball that well unless, of course, it’s against us.”
