Expectations are high

The Brady Eagle boys and girls track teams have reason to be optimistic as they start the 2016 season.

The girls return three athletes who competed at the state meet last year. Tara Callahan qualified in the shot and discus, Emery Swan in the 400 and 800 and Michaela Jurjens in the pole vault and 300 hurdles.

There are also three state qualifiers returning for the boys. Dayne Porter qualified in the 200 and ran in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays, Jared Most was a relay participant and Matt Neiman made it in the 110 hurdles.

Coach Rich Britten is excited to see what the season brings.

“We feel good. We think we will have good chances in a lot of meets,” Britten said.
