Young farmer turns sights to spring planting and ‘better’

For young farmer Ryan Sukraw, thoughts of spring are of planting and pursuit of better.

Ryan likens “better” to a moving target, which keeps farming interesting.

“There are so many things a person can do to increase yield, maximize efficiency, improve equipment, cut costs without sacrificing yield,” he said.

Sukraw and his dad, Duane, raise corn, soybeans, popcorn and wheat on about 1,600 acres south and north of Gothenburg.
