Annabelle Holmes, 89, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Friday, August 16, 2019 at Gothenburg Health.
She was born October 20, 1929 in Gothenburg, daughter of Paul and Martha Larson. Annabelle grew up in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High School.
She married James D. Holmes on April 19, 1951. To this union two sons were born: Jed and Kim.
She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and participated in women’s ministries, and worked with MOPS. She enjoyed painting ceramic dolls, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are son Kim Holmes of Lincoln, son Jed (Susie) Holmes of Valley Center, Kansas, grandson Jordan (Amelia) Holmes of Omaha, granddaughter Jamie (Adam) Gatchell of Nashville, Tennessee, grandson Jake (Britany) Holmes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, great-grandson Henry Jordan Holmes, sister-in-law Jenelle Larson of Gothenburg, brother-in-law Mervin Titchen of North Platte, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Annabellewas precededin death by husband, Jim; her parents; brothers, Raymond Larson, Jim Larson, Bernie Larson, and Don Larson; sisters, Katherine Aden, and BarbaraTitchen;andsistersin-laws, Bobbie Larson, Ellen Larson, and Bertha Tetro.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 1-7 p.m. with the family present from 4-6 p.m.
Services will be held at Evangelical Free Church, Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Scott Newman officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Evangelical Free Church.
