Theda Frazer passed peacefully in her sleep on January 10, 2022. She is pre-deceased by her husband Dr. D.W. Frazer of 54 years and survived by her son, Gary, daughter-in-law Susan, grandsons Cary and Tom and his wife April, and six great grandchildren Jackson, Evan, Ford, Madison, Megan, and Bryson.
Theda taught English, French and Home Economics during her career. She taught in public schools at: Bladen, NE, Scotia, NE, Gothenburg, NE, York, NE, Atchison, KS, and Kansas City, KS. She retired from teaching from Schlagle High School in Kansas City, KS in 1985.
After retirement, she and her husband moved to Camarillo, CA in 1988 to be closer to their son and warmer weather. After six years, they moved to Sun City Summerlin in Las Vegas, NV due to her husband’s health where she continued living after her husband’s death for twenty-seven years.
Theda was a regular at the ceramics classes and was known for her detailed and beautiful works of art. She also was a regular at the local casinos, particularly the Red Rock Casino where she was known personally by many of the workers in the bingo room, on the casino floor and in the restaurant. She made many friends during her life and enjoyed staying in touch with many of them until she left Las Vegas in the fall of 2019 to enter an assisted living facility in Paradise Valley, AZ.
Theda will be missed by many people who crossed her path during her life. Past students of hers refer to her often on Facebook and her family will miss her love, strength, and kindness.
Her ashes will be interred in Las Vegas, NV next to her husband.
