Meet the Times Team!

Hello Readers! My name is Cheyenne McVay, and I am the staff writer/reporter here at the Gothenburg Times. I was born and raised in Gothenburg, but moved away briefly when I spent a year in Lincoln and a little bit of time in Omaha while obtaining an education in cosmetology. Upon returning home after finding out that the city is not my happy place, becoming a writer for the Times fell into place. My favorite part of my job is getting to know and interact with people! I love to hear about people’s lives and feel privileged to have the opportunity to document the information and preserve their story. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the lake, baking, spending time with friends and family, and going on adventures that lead to the middle of nowhere. As a native of our All-American town, I look forward to being an active part of the community again!
