The Gothenburg Chamber Ambassadors presented a Thank You For Your Faith Award on Dec. 2 Lindsey Tederman and Lynnette Stevens at Charm Boutique. The mostly women’s clothing boutique originally opened in Gothenburg in 2013. Lindsey said life changes and the pandemic caused her to re-evaluate the business. She closed the Charm store on Ninth Street in January 2021 and later opened Charm Boutique & Bar in Lincoln. Realizing folks in Gothenburg still wanted her clothing, Lindsey embraced a strong nudge from Lynnette and re-opened a smaller version of Charm on the corner at 926 Lake Avenue in July. Pictured are, from left, Ambassador Travis Anderson, Lindsey Tederman, Lynnette Stevens and Ambassador Kim Jorgenson.

Gothenburg’s local interact program is working as elves for Santa this year. They’ve agreed to help the jolly man with letter pick up and have designated the Gothenburg Times as a drop off spot. Bring your letters to Santa down to the Times office by December 17 and the Interact kids will make sure they’re delivered to Santa, so that he can reply to them.
You can send your Christmas cards by Pony Express. Each card will be hand-stamped with a Pony Express seal and carried on horseback from Gothenburg to Cozad by the Nebraska Division Pony Express members from the surrounding area. Cards need to be at either the Cozad or Gothenburg libraries or the Gothenburg State Bank in Brady by closing time on Friday, December 10, 2021.
