The University of Nebraska at Kearney is launching a new program that provides additional support for student-parents.
Kevin Bagley, Director of the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care (MLTC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced a statewide listening tour for Medicaid’s managed care program. The tour will begin January 11, 2022, and will stop at five locations throughout the state.
The Central Platte Natural Resources District is cautioning landowners along the Platte River that with the colder temperatures, ice formation in the river channels will begin in the next few weeks. If enough ice forms, it can jam together, causing the river water to escape the banks and cause flooding. David Carr, CPNRD Range Management Specialist, said some helpful information to remember:
Applications for the Harold and Virginia Stevens Endowment Fund 4-H Scholarship are being accepted until January 15. Income from the Endowment Fund will provide one scholarship of $2,500 value for Dawson County 4-H members attending one of the five campuses of the Univer sity of Nebraska at Curtis, Kearney, Lincoln, Omaha or Medical Center.
