Norma G. Devine, 90, of Surprise, AZ, formerly of Grand Island passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.


John Wayne Brandt, a longtime Ogallala resident and KOGA Radio broadcaster and salesman, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the age of 76. For the past year, John waged a courageous battle with stagefour pancreatic cancer, maintaining his signature optimism throughout.


Barbara Ann Wahl, 88, of Roseville, MN, passed away into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2020. She was survived by her children, Sandra (Dee J.) Traudt, Susan (Dan) Johnson, and Jeffrey (Paulette) Wahl; Grandchildren, Andrea (Jason) Inouye, Naomi (Alan) Price, Sara (Aaron) Kangas, Benjamin Wahl, Eithan Wahl and Jason Wahl; greatgrandchildren, Arthur Price and Loralei Inouye; Birth Siblings, Mike Allen, Tom Allen, Patty Shogren, Sandy Youngbauer. Preceded in death by parents, A. M. and Marie Holmes; husband Frank Wahl; daughter Carolyn Wahl.

Victoria Dian Haveriland, 81, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 11, 2020 at Emerald Care in Cozad, NE.


James Dennis Jobman, 76, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 29, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.


Timothy Lee Callahan, 60, of Brady, NE, passed away, Monday, June 29, 2020, at Great Plains Health. He was born January 25, 1960, to Patrick and Lelia (Kern) Callahan, in Gothenburg, NE. Tim graduated from Brady High School with the class of 1978. After graduation he entered the United States Marines in 1980, serving in Korea, Japan and the Philippines. After his honorable discharge he resided in California then moved back to Brady in January of 1988. Tim married Jeralyn Holling on July 14, 1990 in Omaha. The couple lived in Brady where Tim ranched on the family place and has continued up until present. For the past 18 years he’s worked for the NE Department of Roads/Transportation as an IT analyst. He enjoyed playing


Orville Raymond Gaibler, 89, of Farnam, Nebraska, died July 1, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Gerald Laverne Jobman

Gerald Laverne Jobman, 81, of Omaha, Nebraska (formerly of Gothenburg), passed away on June 26, 2020 at the Hospice House in Omaha, NE. He was born August 25, 1938 at Gothenburg to Arthur William and Lucille Virginia (Geiken) Jobman. Gerald grew up on the family farm 9 miles northeast of Gothenburg and lived over 60 years on this farm. The farm has been in the family for over 100 years. He graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1956 and loved attending his class reunions and visiting with classmates.
